Elberfeld is a small town located in Warrick County, Indiana, in the United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, its population was approximately 627 people in 2020. Elberfeld is situated about 17 miles from Evansville, the largest city in the area, and 135 miles from Indianapolis, the state capital. The town is primarily residential, and the majority of the workforce commutes to nearby cities for employment. The town has its own school system and a few local businesses, including a grocery store and several restaurants. Elberfeld is known for its annual Germanfest celebration, which celebrates the town's German heritage and typically takes place in August.
